Citizens Advice is the national charity providing practical advice and knowledge for free to anyone who needs it. In total they helped over 2.66 million people find a way forward with one-to-one advice in 2022-23. Their advice website had over 60 million views of their online self-help advice. They provide support in approximately 1,600 locations across England and Wales with 14,000 volunteers and 8,843 staff. Volunteering for Citizens Advice is a fulfilling way to develop employable skills as well as use your time to help others.
What kinds of roles are there?
Each borough has differing levels of demand for volunteers, so it's best to check with your local branch first. In general, the most common roles Citizens Advice recruit for are

- admin and customer service
