What You'll Do:

Want to Help Save Lives While You're at Uni?

Every day, people with blood cancer and blood disorders are waiting for a lifesaving stem cell transplant. That’s where you come in.

Marrow is the inspirational student network of Anthony Nolan, a charity that matches people in need of stem cell transplants with incredible strangers willing to donate.

We focus on recruiting 16 to 30-year-olds to the stem cell register, because research shows younger donors are more likely to be chosen as donors for lifesaving transplants. That’s why we’re based in universities and colleges across the UK – and we need more volunteers to help.

Since we began in 1998 – after a student’s friend was diagnosed with leukaemia and needed a stem cell transplant – Marrow has grown into a national movement. Today, there are over 40 Marrow groups at universities across the country, all run by students who are helping to save lives.

And the impact is real: every day, Anthony Nolan gives four people a second chance at life, thanks to volunteers like you.

Why join Marrow?

As a Marrow volunteer, you'll:

  • Raise awareness – Help spread the word about blood cancer and the stem cell register through campaigns, talks and events on campus.
  • Recruit potential lifesavers – Run donor recruitment events to give every student the chance to join the register and become potential lifesavers.
  •  Fundraise for lifesaving work – From bake sales to club nights, help raise vital funds to support Anthony Nolan’s work.

Whether you're great at event planning, social media, science communication – or just want to make a difference – there’s a place for you in Marrow.

Be part of something bigger. Help save lives. Join Marrow.

    Why You'll Love It:
