Team Support Volunteer (One Big Walk Volunteer Caller - London)

What You'll Do: 

Are you good on the phone? Do you want the chance to call and speak to our fantastic supporters? If the answer is yes, then our One Big Walk Volunteer Caller role could be for you!

 

One Big Walk is Mencap's flagship fundraising campaign where we ask members of the public to organise their own walk, and this year is even bigger than ever! Held during Learning Disability Week (15th-21st June), we're looking for volunteers who can call our volunteers, check in how their walks are going and wish them good luck!

 

Activities you could get up to whilst volunteering could include:

  • Calling supporters who have signed up and thanking them for taking part, checking they have everything they need for their walk
  • Giving check in calls, to check in on progress
  • Giving good luck calls one week before their walk
  • Giving follow up calls one week after their walk
  • Sending WhatsApp messages to supporters who sign up
  • Recording all calls made on a spreadsheet
  • Supporting with other ad hoc administrative tasks as required

About the team you will be joining: The Community Fundraising Team support individuals, groups, corporates and schools who organise a fundraiser and raise money in aid in Mencap. Out biggest fundraiser is One Big Walk and takes place during Learning Disability Week, all the money raised support our vision for people with a learning disability to live their lives to the full.
