What You'll Do:

Bloom Market aim is a community based project to create 3 fresh produce markets for people in Hackney, who are experiencing the effects of poverty, food injustice and the cost of living crisis. Based around using the wholesale and locally grown surplus fresh fruit and veg, each week customers will order online and collect from one of the 3 community market shops. This needs to be promoted and encouraged with a mix of social media showing that will show not just the produce on offer but also encourage trying new recipes with produce people don't usually buy, as it offers better value and higher health and nutritional content.

Why You'll Love It:

Working with the Bloom Market team and community shop managers, you'll get inspiration and ideas from interacting with all involved, see how the markets grow and play a part in helping this through what you're producing.

What You'll Learn:

Working on a live project, you'll be part of a team and see the value and impact of both your own initiatives, alongside feedback and input based on different aspects of this venture. There will be opportunities to meet and talk with members of the community to understand what they respond to, as well as try out ideas of your own.
