Monitoring and Evaluation Volunteer - Praxis

What You'll Do:

We are now recruiting for volunteers to play a key role in the Monitoring and Evaluation project. This role is ideal for someone who has excellent listening and communication skills and is interested in working directly with service users to ensure that their voices are heard and centred in all aspects of the work we do at Praxis. This role would also require good IT skills and previous experience using casework/client record management systems would be desirable.

This role involves working alongside the Volunteer Coordinator to gather feedback on all Praxis services on an ongoing basis. There will also be opportunities to assist the Fundraising and Communications team with the analysis and application of the information gathered.

Tasks will include:

  • Conducting feedback interviews with service users over the phone
  • Identifying and emailing clients with links to surveys
  • Updating the Client Record Management systems
  • Detailed recording of information gathered
  • Liaising with the relevant team or adviser when new issues arise in relation to ongoing cases
  • Assisting with some data analysis
What We're Looking For:

Role requirements:

  • Ability to speak and write effectively in English
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Awareness of the challenges facing migrant communities and a commitment to Praxis’ core values of solidarity, inclusiveness, respect, and justice.
  • Experience using case work systems is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to speak a community language is desirable but not essential

We are looking for individuals who are reliable and are able to commit to a session every week for 6 months. The sessions will take place at our office on Pott Street in Bethnal Green. Ongoing supervision, support and in-house training will be provided.

We are an equal opportunity organisation and strongly encourage applications from those with lived experience of migration, and from diverse applicants regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital/civil partnership status, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or pregnancy/maternity leave status.

To apply please complete a volunteer application form.
