What You'll Do: 

Volunteer Role: Seasonal Play Worker 

Organisation: Jumping Beans 

Location: Hackney 

Availability: 28th July-15th August and school half-term holidays 

Age Group: 5–11 years 

 

Overview: 

Jumping Beans is looking for enthusiastic, caring, and creative individuals to join our team as Seasonal Play Workers during school half-term holidays. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a passion for working with children and supporting their development in a fun, inclusive, and nurturing environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support children aged 5–11, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), in engaging activities 

• Facilitate and assist with a variety of activities, including: 

• Cooking & Baking: From full baking sessions to no-bake recipes—ideal for volunteers who love to be in the kitchen 

• Arts & Crafts: Encourage creative expression and emotional exploration through artistic activities 

• Well-being & Mental Health: Support children’s emotional well-being through guided discussions, art, and creative expression 

• Sports & Active Play: Promote physical activity through fun, inclusive games and sports 

• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment 

• Assist staff in setting up and tidying up activities 

• Engage with children in a positive, supportive manner
