Royal Opera House
Home to The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, the Royal Opera House brings together world-class performers and trailblazing creative teams to share unforgettable performances with audiences near and far. Our theatres are in London’s Covent Garden, but we bring opera and ballet to individuals across the globe, through live performances, streams, tours, cinema programmes, radio broadcasts and TV output.
We run a dedicated Learning and Participation programme that covers the length and breadth of the country, playing a vital role in building and diversifying the future of ballet and opera. The programme aims to inspire creativity, offering a curriculum-linked national schools’ programme; a suite of activities for families and individuals in and around our iconic Covent Garden home; and a number of events and performances specially designed to broaden participation, nurture young talent.
ABOUT US:
The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden is home to world-class ballet, opera, and theatre arts. This iconic London theatre brings together the world’s most extraordinary artists in performances and experiences to transport you to another world.
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:
Our art forms can be perceived as elitist. In a climate when the arts are squeezed in schools, we give greater focus to under represented groups, widening access and diversity being a priority.
OUR VALUES:
Treat everyone with Respect
Be Open
Value the Highest Standards
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:
Our volunteers are friendly and enthusiastic; reliable and punctual; and committed to widening participation to arts and culture for all.
