Growing Hope
Hope for Children Free therapy services such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and counselling can all enable children to reach their developmental potential. Hope for Families We understand that families of children with additional needs can experience increased pressure and stress. Growing Hope supports siblings and parents through groups and courses. Hope in Jesus We believe that Jesus offers hope to everyone and that he knows and loves each of us. Our clinic managers work in church on a Sunday to ensure church is a safe space for families who want to attend, and our national team work with churches across the UK providing accessibility training and audits. Growing Hope is open for all regardless of their beliefs.
ABOUT US:

Growing Hope champions accessibility and provides free therapy clinics for children with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK.

Our national charity office is based in Islington and provides all the policy, structure, networking, design and fundraising strategy plus more to our local clinics set up across the UK. We currently have clinics in Brockley, Kings Cross, High Wycombe, Maidstone and Redbridge with Solent and York opening this year.

We supported 321 children and young people in our clinics in 2024 and are hoping this number continues to grow as our vision of having 20 clinics across the UK by 2030 allows!

We are looking for volunteers with varied skills and backgrounds to join both the national and clinic teams. We have a broad range of roles to support office organisation, database management, supporter engagement, as well as the day to day runnings of the clinic and would love to speak to you about where your skills could support the charity.

We want to give hope to children through our free therapy clinics, grow hope for families where they may have experienced isolation and rejection, and share the hope we have in Jesus by supporting churches to be places where everyone can be seen, heard, able to belong and join in.

We are a Christian organisation and use our faith to guide the charities development, however there is no requirement for volunteers to be Christian.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

More than 1 in 6 children in England are registered as having an additional need, with waiting lists for diagnoses and support often being over a year. Growing Hope provide therapy on an entirely needs basis, meaning children won't need to get a diagnosis before attending clinic.

2/5 siblings of children with additional needs face difficulties with their own mental health. Our courses When Dreams Change, for parents, and The Siblings Group support the whole family to process their experiences and provide coping tools. Our national charity train facilitators in these courses so that they can run for local communities across the UK.

OUR VALUES:
Hope - We believe Jesus brings hope to children, young people and families, even in the most difficult situations, and that underpins everything we do.
Community-We are accepting of all and want everyone to know they are seen, heard and belong.
Courage-We are brave, choosing honesty over comfort, and tackling problems because we want to change lives.
Innovation-We are innovative, flexible and creative in our approach, always aiming for excellence.
Generosity-We look out for others and share our time, encouragement, finances and skills.
