We are looking for volunteers to join our new Queer POC group. We currently have one volunteer leading on this, but we are looking for a couple of more volunteers to be able to run the group.

Shout is a 24/7 UK mental health support text service. By texting ‘85258’ a texter will be put in touch with a trained volunteer. The service is designed to give people space to go from a hot moment to a cool calm.

The Drinks Trolley at St Joseph’s Hospices visits our wards twice a day to offer our patients free alcoholic & soft refreshments. It is a much loved service, run entirely by volunteers, who serve a choice of cold drinks&stop for a chat with patients

We are dedicated to improving the emotional wellbeing of vulnerable young people. Free To Be supports children who have experienced complex disadvantage to change their stories, through therapeutic adventures and the power of the outdoors.

Childline is a unique service, valued greatly by the Young People who contact us. It provides a safe place for Young People to talk confidentially to our Volunteer Counsellors, an option that many of them do not have elsewhere.

Compassionate Neighbours is a social movement, founded by St Joseph’s Hospice in 2014, to help reduce loneliness and social isolation. CN are trained volunteers offering friendship & a listening ear.





The Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in the running of our café in our Community Hub, on the ground floor of the hospice. Our café sells a range of freshly made sandwiches, snacks, and hot meals. Hot and cold drinks also served.

St Joseph’s Hospice Hackney is recruiting skilled, dedicated enthusiastic complementary therapy practitioners to join the Hospice team. We currently require massage therapists and reflexologists.
